Chicken stuffed shells are a delightful dinner for your family. I will fill you in on how to make them step by step!

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 lb. chicken
  • 1 1/2 loaves of white bread
  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 2 cans chicken broth
  • 2 cans cream of chicken soup
  • 1 box of medium or large shell pasta
  1. Step 1

The first step is to thoroughly cook the chicken. You can either pan fry the chicken in a little bit of olive oil with the seasonings of your choice (I use a little bit of poultry season & season salt) or you could boil the chicken. After cooking is complete, shred the chicken.

  2. Step 2

While the chicken is cooking, boil the shell noodles according to the package directions. When done boiling, leave in strainer to cool.

  3. Step 3

Next, you will make the stuffing. Tear the 1 1/2 loaves of bread into small pieces (you could cut it if you would like) and put in a large bowl. Next chop the celery and onions and add to the bread bowl. Then add the shredded chicken to the bowl as well. You will then add the 1 cup of mayonnaise and 2 sticks of melted butter (melt in either microwave or on stove top). You can then add seasonings of your choice (I add some poultry seasoning and black pepper). Mix everything in the bread bowl together with your hands (this gets a little messy!).

  4. Step 4

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  5. Step 5

Next, get your cooked noodles and fill each one with the stuffing mixture and arrange them in a casserole dish (you might need 2 casserole dishes). Continue until all shells are filled.

  6. Step 6

Then mix together in a different bowl the 2 cans of cream of chicken soup and the 2 cans of chicken broth. Pour this mixture evenly over the stuffed shells.

  7. Step 7

Cover with foil and cook for approximately 1 hour at 350 degrees.
