Take measurements of the space and make sure that the things that you decide to purchase fits in your design and room. If the scale of an item is off, it will make the design of the room look unprofessional. If you are inspired by a room that you have seen on a TV show or in a magazine, make sure you pay attention to all of the details in the room, this will help determine the scale of some of the furniture.
