How to Remove a Splinter "easily"

Living alone can pose a difficult situation when faced with removing a splinter. Here is an easy way to remove a splinter, by yourself at home.

      Wash the area with soap and water and pat dry. Make sure the outer areas do not have dirt on that either. Locate where the splinter is before beginning the treatment.

      Apply a liberal amount, many drops, of Elmer's glue to the affected area. A thick coat is not good. Use a thick enough coat to be seen and so no skin is showing at all. Let that glue dry completely. Do not cover with any band-aid. When it is thoroughly dry, remove the Elmer's glue. You will see the Elmer's glue has pulled the splinter out of the skin

      This is especially handy for people with impaired vision. You will find this easy to do even if your hands are unsteady too. A splinter can be removed by this method by one person.
