Burrs in you or your child's hair can be a mess, but here are some steps that will make getting them out easier.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

First, wet the hair. I would recommend getting in a bath tub to avoid a rather large mess. Wash as gently as possible with shampoo. Try to work shampoo into the section of hair with burrs very carefully, as not to tangle the hair more.

  2. Step 2

Next, add a very large amount of conditioner to the hair (about 2-3 times as much as you would normally use). Work through the hair carefully and remove any burrs that come easily.

  3. Step 3

Finally, take vegetable oil and add to section of hair with burrs. Take the fine tooth comb and work through hair starting at the ends to remove burrs. This may require a mirror if you are doing this by yourself on your own hair.

  4. Step 4

Once all the burrs are removed, wash and condition hair normally.
