How to Send Texts Using the AT&T Website

Text messaging is very popular especially among teens and college students. It can be expensive if you go over the number included in your plan. You can send AT&T customers a text using their website. This way you can just get charged for receiving texts.

• AT&T text plan
• Computer with internet access
• Friends with AT&T text plan

Instructions

1. First, make sure you and the person receiving text have text messaging plans. In order to send a text you have to have a myWireless account. If you do not, you will have to create one. To do this just go to www.att.com and click register for account under manage my account. Follow the direction to create account then log in. If you already have a myWirless account then just log in.

2. After you log in,look in the middle section of page.Find the section labeled phone/device. Under it you should see a link labeled "send a text message." Click the link.

3. Finally,a form will appear. Fill in the person's phone number and your message. Then click send.

Tips & Warnings

• Standard text messaging rates will apply when the person sends you a reply on your phone. You can only send messages from the site.

• Make sure you and the person receiving text have text messaging plans.
