celebrate St. Patricks Day with kids

St. Patrick's Day isn't just for adults. Kids of all ages can have fun celebrating this fun and exciting holiday. Follow these steps and to make your St. Patrick's Day a success!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Green!
  1. Step 1

Stock up on "green". Decorate your house like you would for Halloween or Christmas. Green streamer, green balloons, anything you can find!

  2. Step 2

Help your kids cut out Shamrocks out of green construction paper or green felt and hand them in front of a window using string or ribbon

  3. Step 3

Check out local websites or visit http://www.st-patricks-day.com/st_patricks_day_parades_home.asp to find St. Patrick's Day parades in your area.

  4. Step 4

Make sure everyone has something green to wear on March 17, or you may get pinched!

  5. Step 5

On St. Patrick's Day morning, have a special "green" breakfast. Add a few drops of green food coloring to your scrambled eggs, apple juice and even milk for cereal! Be extra creative and use a shamrock cookie cutter to cut out Shamrock Toast!

  6. Step 6

Rather you attend a parade, watch one on TV, or just go about your day a usual, try to include green and shamrocks in everything you do. Take it a step farther, and show your kids how to be "green" for the enviroment, too!

Tips & Warnings
  • Make it fun, make adjustments for your kids ages and your location. Remember, you don't have to be Irish to be Green!
