Things You'll Need:
- Car
-
Step 1
Adjust the driver seat to allow you to drive without leaning forward to steer or to push on the gas. The best knee angle for driving should be about 130 degrees.
-
Step 2
Sit with your back firmly against the seat. Slouching while driving can trigger lower back pain and decrease your oxygen flow.
-
Step 3
Adjust the your seats headrest to keep head in upright position. The head to headrest should not be further then four inches apart or lower then eye level. This will also help prevent whiplash injuries in a small car accident.
-
Step 4
Most cars have adjustable steering wheels. After you have situated you seat into the correct posture, adjust wheel to a comfortable sitting.
