Using the dauber tool make dots in colors of your choice. If you do not have one of these tools, you may use the eraser end of a pencil, a sponge cut into a circle or wine cork. Dip the tool into an adequate amount of paint and test it on newspaper first. Then proceed to the pot once you perfect your technique.

Paint the rim of the pot, if desired. Allow to dry. If you are applying a sealer, follow manufacturer's instructions. Insert your plant and enjoy!

Tips & Warnings
  • These make cute gifts for new moms & dads, done in pastels.
  • Older kids will have fun making these, too.
  • Great for indoor herbs.
  • I matched this design to my stoneware.
  • Always follow manufacturer's instructions for ventilation, application and dry time when using paint products.
  • Gloves are recommended.
  • Protect your work area! There is a short window of opportunity for clean up with acrylic paint since it dries so quickly.
