You can easily make your own wipes for child or adult. Homemade wipes are much better on your wallet and your skin. They also make great baby shower gifts!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Bounty or strong paper towels
  • Mild baby wash; the old fashioned yellow kind is the best
  • Baby oil
  1. Step 1

Use a whole roll of regular sized or select a size paper towels. Tear off the sheets individually and stack them one on top of the other

  2. Step 2

In a container, mix 1/4 cup of baby wash, 1/8 cup of baby oil and 1/2 cup of warm water. Gently mix these together but don't shake too much or it will be bubbly.

  3. Step 3

Put your towels in an appropriate size plastic container or a gallon size zip lock. Pour the mixture into the container or bag. Shake and swish around to make sure all paper towels have been coated. There will probably be a little excess liquid. Pour off and dispose of the excess.

  4. Step 4

Leave the new wipes in the sealed container or sealed in the zip lock. Put what you need into another container or zip lock to stick in your purse or diaper bag.

Tips & Warnings
  • I like to take full size paper towels, tear them off and fold in half. These make bigger wipes that are still cheaper than store bought wipes.
  • Get a clear plastic container and nicely decorate. Print out these instructions or re-write on scrap book paper and add to the top of the container. Add your home-made wipes and give as a baby gift. This is a great one-of-a kind gift.
