Instructions

    • 1

Cut a length of the 14 gauge wire to around four times the height of the glass or jar. Stretch the wire out and place the jar on top, in the center. Bend the wire up along the sides of the jar. Bend wire with the shape of the jar, following curves if necessary.

    • 2

Cut a length of the 18 gauge wire, about one inch longer than the perimeter of the jar's opening. Make a loop at one end of the wire using the needle nose pliers. Secure the loop to one side of the 14 gauge wire and wrap the remainder around the mouth of the jar. Use the pliers to make a loop at the other end and attach to the wire on the other side.

    • 3

Make a hook at the end of each piece of the thinner wire. Curl the ends in toward the middle. This is the beginning of the hanger for your hanging candle lantern.

    • 4

Cut another length of the 18 gauge wire. The length will depend on how long a hanger you'd like to make for your hanging candle lantern. Put one end through each of the loops at the top.

    • 5

Twist the wire until you get to the end. Use the pliers to bend the end into a hook for hanging the candle lantern, and hang anywhere you like. Enjoy your new outdoor hanging candle lantern!

Tips & Warnings
