Things You'll Need:
- Poster board
- Wrapped candy
- Glue
- Markers
- Pencil
- Scrap paper
-
Step 1
Decide which candy you want to use in your card and make sentences incorporating the candy names. Write down what you want to say on a scrap piece of paper. You can black out or add letters if you want.
-
Step 2
Some examples of things to write in your candy card are:
My dearest “Sweetart”.
You are worth more than “100 Grand” to me.
I wish you “Almond Joy” (with the Almond blacked out) this Valentine’s Day.
You are my “Sugar Baby”.
You are always making me “Snickers” (with the s blacked out).
I want to shower you with “Kisses”.
I am “Nutrageous”ly in love with you.
My Valentine’s Day gift to you is a happy life together, “Now and Later”. -
Step 3
Prepare the poster board for the type of Valentine's Day card you want to make. You can use the poster board as is, fold it in half like a card or cut several pieces of poster board in half to make a book.
-
Step 4
Use a pencil to lightly draw the letters on the poster board, leaving space for the candy, so that you will know where everything goes before you make any permanent marks.
-
Step 5
Write the words with marker and glue the candy onto the card. Leave the candy in it's wrapper so that the person you are giving the card to can eat it. If you made your candy card into a book, punch holes in the top of the pieces of poster board and tie them together with yarn or string.
-
Step 6
It is okay to be a little creative and silly with your Valentine’s Day candy card. The person you give it to will absolutely love it.
