How to Organize Your Canned Goods
It is no secret that canned goods are good for stocking up and storing. This is particularly true in places of the country that have frequent winter storms, are prone to power outages, or are in natural disaster areas. Stocking canned goods can be a very worthwhile practice. Yet keeping them organized may be a challenge. So if your large supply of canned goods has turned into a giant mess, then these tips are for you. Does this Spark an idea?

Open your pantry door and start removing all of your canned items that you have. Clean the pantry shelves with a warm soapy dishwater solution and a sponge to keep your pantry clean.

Get rid of any dented cans or items you do not use. These can be donated to the local food pantry.

Group all like canned goods together and line them up in rows. If you need more room, stack another layer right on top of the previous row. As you add new canned goods place them in the back and move the rest forward

Tips & Warnings
If you find that you have problems seeing the expiration date write it on the end of the can with a permanent marker. Store bulk items under the kitchen sink or even in the basement.
