If, like many others, you are opting to only breast feed your baby there is always the problem of not knowing if your baby is getting enough milk. Here are great signs to tell if without having to pump and measure!

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

A great indicator of whether your baby is getting enough breast milk is if he/she sleeps for a couple of hours right after being breast fed.

  2. Step 2

Another great sign that your baby is getting enough milk is when you hear a suck then pause pattern. Don't let the clock determine if your baby has had enough. Any time between ten minutes to an hour is a good indicator.

  3. Step 3

When your breasts feel full before breast feeding then soft after you have breast fed your baby, that is a sign that your baby has had a good "meal".

  4. Step 4

Poop is a very good indicator as well. Yellow, grain poop three times a day is a good indicator that your baby is getting enough milk with the exception of newborns.
