How to Concentrate While Doing Homework
With so many constant distractions -- especially provided by the technology world -- it can be quite a challenge to concentrate and focus on your homework. But you probably want to pass your exams, so concentration on your homework is of utmost importance. Make your homework a priority, set aside a time and place to focus, and it will become easier in time to concentrate while doing your homework.

1
Put together a comfortable environment in which to do homework. If possible, do homework in a room other than your bedroom, because a bedroom is filled with distractions. A room, table or desk strictly for homework will help you focus.
-
2
Block out as many distractions as possible. Turn off all TVs, turn off cellphones (or at least turn off the ringer), and even disconnect the Internet if necessary. If you need the Internet to do your homework, close out all windows or tabs that are unrelated to your homework.

If you have homework every day, set a particular time of day to begin doing it. Choose a convenient time when you will be alone with minimal distractions. Once you start this habit, doing homework will become a routine part of your day and you'll be able to concentrate on it better.
-
4
Set a time-related goal for yourself, such as getting your homework done within one hour. Working toward that goal will help you focus and complete your task in the planned amount of time.
-
5
Reward yourself when you complete your homework. If you have something to look forward to, you will be more inclined to concentrate and finish your homework.
-
6
If it helps, do homework with a friend or family member, as long as you can focus on homework and not talk the whole time. Having someone around to keep you in check is helpful, because you will be watching each other to make sure that you are both completing your homework.
