Step 1
Get into your fighting stance and make sure to have your arms protecting your face.

Then when punching twist your waist slightly and lift your foot (the one behind) a bit.

Your punch should have your arm at a 90 degree angle and by twisting your body you give your punches more power.

Make sure to never leave your other hand drop but keep it up to protect your face.
