you will know how to solder any copper plumbing joint

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • mapp gas (yellow bottle)
  • torch tip
  • striker or lighter
  • soldering flux
  • soldering wire
  • sand paper
  1. Step 1

    First sand and clean the contacting part on the pipe and the joint,no dirt.Make sure you try fit all parts together before you start the soldering . Be sure to check and see if the pipes are relax fit and there is no pulling or stress on the pipe.

  2. Step 2

    Apply flux to both contacting area . Theres a flux call everflux if you using it you don't have to sand the joints . Be careful with the flux cause its an acid product it will eat at your skin.

  3. Step 3

    Turn on the torch and put the tip of the inner flame on the joint not the pipe , before the joint turn color start feeding solder to the joint , soon as the soldering stsrt melting , move the flame up and down and around the pipe and joint line.wipe the joint line with dry rag for clean finish

Tips & Warnings
  • safety goggles
  • Be careful hot may start fire
  • Do not get the flux on your skin
  • can not let water run through the pipe while its really hot , it will make the joint leak
