Instructions

    • 1

Create an account at www.greetingcarduniverse.com. It's free and it only takes a few minutes!

    • 2

Upload your artwork. You can do up to five pictures at a time. It must be 5x7 or 7x5. You can resize your pictures with most publishing software. Pick your best work! Keep in mind you can only use the same image three times, but you can make little changes (like adding a border) to use it again.

You have the option to add a watermark and/or put your name on the front. You will choose a category, then go to the next page to enter your inside verse. You will have a variety of fonts and colors to choose from. Then you will go to a profiling page where you will pick what holiday, if any, the card is for and who the card is for. Not every card will fit a profile.

Your done! The site's moderators will let you know when your card is approved and if/when you sell a design. The money can add up fast! My sister and I have done very well at this site. If you have any questions or comments, or if you have just opened your own store on this site, I would love to hear from you!

You can also check out Zazzle and CafePress, they are also print-on-demand sites that will sell your greeting cards, along with mugs, caps and tons of other things. These sites are a little more involved, but they have a huge customer base. I have had my best success with GCU, but try everything to find your best niche.

Tips & Warnings

  • Look at what the best selling cards are on the site. Try to make cards that other people want to buy. Think obscure holidays that might not be as easy to find in a card store. Cards for weddings are good sellers too.

  • Only put in your best work!

  • Quality and quantity go hand-in-hand.
