If you are having problems with cats or dogs using your lawn as a bathroom, then you may find some of these tips useful. They work great at fending off animals from your lawn.

Instructions

    • 1

Arm & Hammer Baking Soda - If you are noticing yellow spots where the grass has sopped growing or is dying, it is probably due to an animal urinating on your grass. Using baking soda you can bring your grass back to life and ward off animals from further using your lawn as a toilet.
In a watering can, mix together 1 cup of baking soda into each gallon of water. Water the damaged area every three days. The animal will no longer recognize the marked area and the grass will grow back nice and healthy.

    • 2

Coffee Grounds - Either used or unused, caffeinated or decaf, coffee grounds are a great choice for repelling animals and fertilizing your grass and plants. Simply sprinkle the grounds anywhere you want animals to stay away from.

    • 3

Vinegar - place vinegar, full strength, into a spray bottle and spray around your lawn. Cats hate the smell and will avoid it. Spray again every few days to freshen the vinegar scent.

Tabasco, Garlic Powder, and Dawn Dish washing Soap - Mix together in a spray bottle, 2 tablespoons each of Tabasco and the garlic powder and a few drops of Dawn. Fill the remainder of the spray bottle with water. Next spray your lawn, respraying every few days. This works great since most animals hate theses scents.
