Tired of the standard ringtones that come with your phone? Or do you want to update your ringtone without having to pay for a new one?

Step 1

ITunes Software has added a feature that allows users to turn their purchased MP3's into a ringtone. You can use the software to select the song you want, the part of the song you prefer, and send it to your IPhone.
Step 2

For PC users there is also software available that will allow you to convert MP3's to a ringtone for any type of cell phone.

Go to Download.com and put in a search for ringtone, or ringtone software, and many software options will come up.
Step 3

When selecting a software on Download.com, look at the user ratings, try to find a software that users seem to favor, that will help you narrow down your choices.
Step 4

When using most software, you will select the song you want and that software will convert it for you and send a text message to your phone.
Step 5

Once you get the text message, open it up, and your new ringtone will download to your phone.
