How to Find Out When You Are Getting Your 2008 Tax Refund

Your refund can take from 8-14 days if you e-filed with direct deposit. If you are receiving your refund by check it may take longer. If you e-filed with direct deposit you will receive your refund back the quickest. Receiving your refund by check is the slowest. Follow the tips below to find out when you will be receiving your refund.

1. TaxAct has the 2008 refund schedule listed on their website. You can access this schedule at http://www.taxact.com/products/all_efcycle.asp

2. Another way to see when you will be getting your refund is by checking on the IRS website.

3. Visit http://irs.gov/

4. On the right hand side of the page you will see a graphic that says Where’s my refund?, click it.

5. Midway down the page you will see a link that says Take me To Where’s My Refund. Click it.

6. Enter the requested information.

7. The following page will tell you when you will receive your refund by. You may receive it before this date. The date listed will be the latest that you will receive your refund.

Tips & Warnings

• Never click a link that was sent to you via e-mail to for ANYTHING to do with your refund! There are many phishing scams out there that will try to get you to do this! Only go to http://irs.gov for anything to do with your refund!
