Step 1
Research the Creative Commons License. This allows the original owner to state which rights he would like to keep, and which rights he will release.
There are three types of laws for the Creative Commons:
* Attribution: Give credit as to where he/she got the materials or images.
* No Derivative's: Do not alter images or materials.
* Non-commercial: Another user may not use the material for anything that makes money. -
Step 2
Flickr: Free Photos AwaitGo to Flickr.com to find Flickr free photos. If you do not have a member account, create one. Once this is complete, log in. You are now ready to find photos for websites, articles, whatever you need them for.
-
Step 3
Type your search query into the computer. Once Flickr returns the results, click on ADVANCED SEARCH. Once on this web page, scroll to the bottom and find Creative Commons.
-
Step 4
Click on the box "Only search within Creative Commons-licensed content." Then, click on "Find content to use commercially" just below. Search for images that are Creative Commons licensed.
This is giving you the legal permission to Flickr free photos on a commercial website, or one that makes money. Remember to give credit where credit is due.
