Step 1
Decide what style of Christmas shower curtain you're looking for. Do you want it to include a particular color to match the rest of your bathroom decor? Do you want a simple, sophisticated mood or a more casual, playful look? Consider the other holiday accessories you have throughout your house--for instance, if most of your decorations have a traditional look, a cartoon Santa may seem out of place in your powder room.
-
Step 2
Measure the distance between the rod and the floor and the rod and the top of the bathtub to make sure that the Christmas shower curtain you're considering is the right length. You don't want to pick one that's too short or too long.
-
Step 3
During the holiday season, major retailers like Target and Walmart carry a selection of Christmas shower curtains. Amazon continues to carry several designs throughout the year, including holiday-themed hooks. Bed Bath and Beyond as well as other retailers offer solid colors that may work for the holidays, like bright red, green, white, and sometimes gold.
-
Step 4
Look at the websites of specialty shower curtain retailers. Bedbathstore.com carries many Christmas shower curtains year-round. Shower-curtains.org also has a few, some of which are very cute. See resources for links to both.

Step 5
Don't forget more general designs that may be appropriate for the holidays, like angels, winter animals like penguins and polar bears, or snowflakes.
-
Step 6
To make a fun Christmas shower curtain on your own or with your kids, buy a plain one in red, green, or clear and decorate with waterproof paints or fabric paints. You can also stamp on a design using sponges cut into holiday shapes like stars, pine trees, or angels.
-
Step 7
Another DIY Christmas shower curtain that requires no craft skills at all is to buy a curtain with clear pockets (see Resources). Fill the pockets with inexpensive, old, or worn ornaments or with art cut from holiday cards.

Step 8
If you're more crafty, consider making a Christmas shower curtain from a holiday tablecloth or holiday fabric. See "related articles" on the upper right for a link to a helpful article on this topic.
