It is devastating when a relationship ends and you weren't ready. Although there are no guarantees, here is a way to make it more likely that your ex will want to come back to you!

Difficulty: Challenging
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Nothing special
  1. Step 1

Do not show your ex how upset you are. Do your absolute best to appear that you have it together and that you are moving on with your life. Dating someone else at this time is not recommended. It is more important that you get out of the house, and pay attention to your interests and hobbies. Make yourself interesting.

  2. Step 2

Be vague and happy about your whereabouts and activities. Make him/her wonder what you've been up to. Don't be nasty or cold, just a little mysterious.

  3. Step 3

Don't call, text, email, etc... If you do, you may push your ex further away by annoying them. Give him/her time away from you to really think about things. If they contact you first, feel free to respond, but try to make it short and sweet, and don't discuss getting back together.

  4. Step 4

If he/she asks you to spend time together, go ahead! But don't dive into it as if nothing ever happened. Be cautious, take things slowly, and have fun. But try not to discuss the relationship or the breakup.

  5. Step 5

Do not show great curiosity for where he/she has been or what they have been up to. The object here is to pull yourself together, and do things for yourself. Don't take great interest in what the other person is up to.
