Step 1
Paint your kitchen walls a bold orange. Add different shades of blue that will complement the orange you selected for your walls. Use the lightest shades of blue for your cabinets and draperies. Add the boldest and darkest blues in your smaller accessories such as hand towels. Stencil or free-hand paint designs in the dark blues on your cabinets as well.

Step 2
Paint purple and yellow stripes on your kitchen walls. Vertical stripes will make your ceilings appear higher. The stripes can be bold, wide stripes. You can also paint your walls yellow and paint purple pinstripes on them. Place purple grapes and yellow lemons or bananas in a bowl on the counter. Alternate between purple and yellow hand towels and other accessories. Paint your cabinets either solid yellow or solid purple. Paint designs on the cabinet doors in the color you did not use to paint the cabinets.

Step 3
Choose a broad spectrum of colors to decorate your kitchen. Paint polka dots on your white kitchen walls in all the colors of the rainbow. Make them different sizes, making them proportionate in size to the room. Choose your favorite color and use that to paint your cabinets. Use circle-shaped accessories such as plates to add depth and dimension to your kitchen.

Step 4
Keep your neutrally painted kitchen walls. Add accessories in odd colors. Paint your cabinets in a dark, murky eggplant color. You could even go with a bright, almost neon shade of lime green to accessorize your neutral kitchen walls. Brick red, hot pink and black are also odd colors for use in the kitchen that you can use to add color.

Step 5
Faux paint a camouflage design on your kitchen walls. Use shades of green, gray and brown to create the camouflage design. Use the lightest color in your camouflage design to paint your cabinets. Add accessories like towels, tiles and draperies in the darkest color you used on the kitchen walls. Set tropical plants in black pots on the counters.
