How to Save Money By Not Relying On Convenience

We usually do not think of these things as eating up money that we could be saving, but convenience comes at a price, here I am going to explore the amount of money we spend on some everyday purchases we make, that we could be pocketing and saving.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Stop buying your coffee and breakfast at a convenience store, or at a fast food chain. Even if you only do this a few times a month, it adds up. Make your coffee at home, get a travel coffee mug. Make your breakfast at home, it is cheaper.

  2. Step 2

Buy a bread maker. Make your own bread for your household, even your extended family. It will pay for itself after about 20 loafs, and save you money in a year.

  3. Step 3

Always clip coupons and compare prices, it is more convenient to go with the first one you see, for times sake. But you could save a lot if you do this with everything. Buy store brand food, it is often just as good.

  4. Step 4

Always think before you make purchases. Think of the big picture instead of convenience.
