1
Buy a flat screen LCD monitor cleaning kit. In these kits, you will find a dust brush, liquid screen cleaner and a cloth. These kits are sold in most electronics stores that sell flat screen LCD monitors. You can also buy them online.
-
2
Turn your monitor off. If the screen feels warm, wait 10 to 20 minutes before the screen cools before you begin cleaning it.
-
-
3
Use the dust brush from the cleaning kit to remove any dust and dirt particles that are on your monitor. You don't need to eliminate all of the dirt since you'll be wiping the screen off with a cloth.
-
4
Remove the cloth from the cleaning kit and fold it in half.
-
5
Spray one side of the cloth with the liquid cleaner. The cloth should be moist, not dripping wet.
-
6
Wipe the monitor with the wet cloth. Be gentle when wiping your screen so that you don't damage it. You can use a little more force, however, if you're trying to remove any dirt that is stuck on your screen.
-
7
Use the other side of the cloth to dry the screen. Wipe off all of the cleaner since it will leave a mark or streak on your screen if you let it sit.
