How to Pay My ATT Bill

If you are a customer of AT&T, you can use the company's website not only to pay your bill, but to manage your account as well. This means that you do not have to wait for your check to arrive in the mail for an account payment to be credited. Being able to make your payments online allows you to save money on postage; you receive confirmation of your payment within 2 days.

Instructions

    • 1

Follow the link in Resources to the AT&T homepage.

    • 2

Select the type of account in the box at the top right of the page. An account can be for wireless service, home phone and Internet, or the AT&T U-Verse.

    • 3

Enter the password for your account in the same box at the top right of the screen, along with either your cellular account number, your username, or your account ID, depending on which of the three services you are paying for.

    • 4

Wait while you are logged into the system. If this takes more than 2 minutes, try reloading the web page and logging in again.

    • 5

Look at the top left of the screen to see the amount of your last payment to AT&T, and the date it was paid. You will also see an indication of any past due amount you owe on your current bill, along with the current charges.

    • 6

Click the blue "Pay My Bill" button located below the information identified in Step 5.

    • 7

Designate if you wish to pay your entire balance or just the past-due amount on the next screen, which is the payment screen. After you have selected the appropriate amount, enter your method of payment if this is your first time paying. If you have paid your AT&T bill in the past and this is not your first bill, you will have the option to select the same method you used to pay last time or enter a different payment method. Perform that action, then hit "Enter."

    • 8

Wait for your account to be updated by AT&T. This can take anywhere from 1 to 48 hours after your payment has been submitted.

    • 9

Visit the AT&T website to confirm that your payment has been credited to your account.

Tips & Warnings

  • AT&T accepts both debit and credit cards for online payments.
