Instructions

    • 1

Gather two sticks from a tree that are about the same length. For instance, you can use two sticks that are about 3-inches long. Put the sticks in the shape of a small "t." Then use string to tie them together tightly.

    • 2

Buy spanish moss and wrap it around the sticks. Because the moss is stringy, you will be able to manuever the moss however you want. The idea is to form the body with the moss as much as possible. Wrap from the middleof the sticks out towards the arms and down towards the bottom. If you need to cut the string and start in another spot then you can do so. Wrap more moss towards the top (head).

    • 3

Put glue onto the moss and then wrap the fabric around it. The fabric you use should be cut about 1-inch wide so that you can wrap it around the moss more easily. Start from the middle and wrap the material until you reach 1/2-inch from each end of the arms and leg. Start from the neck area and cover all of the moss.

    • 4

Glue eyes, nose and mouth onto the spirit doll's face. Use two buttons for eyes and a bead for the nose. Use a small piece of string for the mouth.

    • 5

Add hair to the head of the spirit doll. Cut string and then glue it onto the head. Use string to tie the material at the ends.
