Things You'll Need:
- Mac computer running OS X 10.4 or later
- iPod
- iPod USB cable
- USB or Firewire hard drive

Step 1
Connect your iPod to your PC computer with the iPod USB cable and allow it to complete a full sync through iTunes.

Click on the "Restore" button on the main iPod page of iTunes. This will restore your iPod to its original factory settings and erase its connection to the PC computer.

Eject and unplug your iPod from the PC computer once the restore process has been completed.

Download and install the iTunes software onto your Mac computer from the Apple website (see Resources below). This software will be used to sync your iPod with your Mac system.

Transfer all of the music you want on your iPod from your PC computer to your Mac computer, using a USB or Firewire hard drive.

Open iTunes on the Mac computer and connect your iPod to a free USB port using the iPod USB cable.

Choose which songs and playlists you want to add to your iPod and click the "Sync" button. This will create a new connection between your iPod and the Mac computer.
