Keeps your body hydrated and your spirit happy.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Tea Bags (5)
  • Sugar
  • Optional: lemon, mint or Burbon
  1. Step 1

Start with a boiling pot of water, medium sized sauce pan with water up to an inch or so above the pot. Place tea bags (3-5) in boiling water, put lid on and take off heat.

  2. Step 2

Let that pot sit there for about 5 minutes steeping. While its working you can put about 1.5-2 cups of sugar in the bottom of your pitcher.

  3. Step 3

Once it has set for awhile poor the hot tea into the pitcher filled with sugar and stir until all tea is dissolved then just add water to the top of the pitcher till the pitcher is full and stir some more.

  4. Step 4

Serve in a glass filled to the top with ice. You can even add some sliced lemons, mint leaves or for a really soul warming glass add a few ounces of Bourbon, makes for a really smooth drink that's just the ticket for a relaxing afternoon.

Tips & Warnings
  • Wanter a quicker glass?, heat up the water in your coffee pot with the bags in the coffee pot, don't use a filter and work the same process from step two on.
  • Careful when pouring that hot tea, it'll burn.

on 2/5/2009 I make sweet tea in large mason jars so I can keep it in the fridge and just pour what I want. Saves money too!
