How to Sell Textbooks on JitterBook
JitterBook is an online retailer that buys and sells used textbooks. The company will pay cash for your used textbooks as long as they are in good condition. JitterBook has been in business for five years and is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California. Selling your used textbooks to JitterBook is easy and can be accomplished in a few simple steps.

Collect your used textbooks and evaluate their condition. JitterBook will only accept textbooks in good condition, and that means no books that have missing pages, torn covers, stains or water damage, large amounts of highlighted text or scribbled notes or pages that are stuck together.

Start up your computer and go to to the JitterBook website. Click on "Sell Textbooks."

Enter the ISBN number for each textbook in the space provided. You can enter multiple ISBN numbers by following each number with a comma. The ISBN number is 10 to 13 numbers and usually starts with the numbers 0 or 1. It is typically located directly above the bar code on the back of the book.

After entering the ISBN number for each book, click "Get a quote." JitterBook will show the amount it will pay for each of your textbooks and will ask you to confirm the titles are correct.

If the titles are correct, click "Confirm," and then "Continue." At this point, you will be asked to create a username and password.

After creating your username and password, enter your personal information and shipping address. Make sure that all the details are correct and click "Submit." This will transmit your order to JitterBook and you will receive a confirmation email with your order number.

Shipping your books is free, so JitterBook will automatically generate a shipping label for you after you submit your order. Turn on your printer, make sure it is attached to your computer and click "Print."

Gather your packing materials, including a sturdy box, bubble wrap or packaging popcorn and packing tape. If you are selling many books, feel free to use multiple boxes. Try to keep each box under 40 lbs.

Stack your textbooks flat in your box and fill any empty space with your packaging material. Tape up the box and attach the prepaid shipping label you printed in Step 7.

You must send your textbooks to JitterBook within seven days after submitting your order. Go to the post office within that time frame and send your package via media mail. Do not use priority or express mail--shipping is free only if you send your books by media mail.

Now all you have to do is wait for your check. Once JitterBook receives your package, the company will inspect your textbooks and issue a check within four business days. You will also receive a confirmation email when your check is sent.

Tips & Warnings
The United States Postal Service weight limit for media mail packages is 70 lbs. However, JitterBook recommends that you keep each box under 40 lbs. to ensure safe handling and delivery. Do not send books that you know will not meet the JitterBook quality standards described in Step 1. JitterBook will destroy all books that are not in good condition and they will not be returned to you.
