How to Download Songs to Your iPod Using Frostwire


FrostWire is a P2P, or peer-to-peer, software application that allows users to share files over the Internet. Individual users serve files on their personal computers and can search for and download files being served by others. The music that is downloaded can be used on a computer or added to an iPod. FrostWire and other P2P applications should only be used for legal downloads.

Things You'll Need

  • FrostWire
  • iTunes
  • Computer
  • iPod
  • USB or FireWire cable
  • Download and install the FrostWire software on your computer.

  • Open FrostWire.

  • Select "Tools" > "Options" from the menu at the top of the application.

  • In the "Options" panel, select "Saving" from the panel on the left and use the "Browse" button to set the save folder as your iTunes Music folder.

  • Search for a song, using the search feature in FrostWire. Double click on a title in the search results window to download it.

  • Open iTunes.

  • Connect your iPod to your computer, using a USB or FireWire cable.

  • iTunes will automatically detect the iPod.

  • Click on the iPod's name in the left panel of iTunes and press "Sync" in the main window.
