How to Uninstall Windows Live OneCare
Windows Live OneCare is an antivirus program that is sold by Microsoft. It allows you to protect your PC against viruses and spyware that can cause great damage to your PC. Many people want the assurance that their PC is protected; however, many may change their minds after they have installed such programs. Click on the "Start" button to uninstall Windows Live OneCare if you are running Windows XP. Then choose "Control Panel." Find the icon that says "Add or Remove Programs." Double click this icon. A list of programs that are installed on your PC are displayed under "Currently Installed Programs." Choose "Windows Live OneCare" and then choose "Remove." Wait patiently as your computer uninstalls the program from your system.

Click on the "Vista ORB" in the bottom lefthand corner of your PC, if you are running Windows Vista. To uninstall Windows Live OneCare, Choose "Control Panel." Click "Programs and Features." Choose "Windows Live OneCare" that is listed in the "Uninstall or change a program" list. Your PC begins to uninstall the program from your system.

Restart your PC and verify that Windows Live OneCare is completely uninstalled from your PC. If the program does not completely remove from your system, browse Microsoft's website to locate and download the Windows Live OneCare Cleanup utility. Follow the instructions to completely remove the program from your system.
