Network Marketing MLM Home Business

A network marketing MLM home business is one of the buzz terms that floats around when you're looking to start a mlm opportunity. Its concept is simple. You receive two types of commissions. The first is gained when you sell your own set of products, while the second is acquired when people in your downline make a sale. So, on paper, you have a chance of earning commissions even when you're not working. Yet, in practice, does a Network Marketing MLM home business actually earn enough to be considered a lucrative opportunity? And what about all of the scams out there... the MLM opportunities that are actually pyramid schemes? This is a very common question for people and this article will focus on determining the difference and how you can be successful once you find a legitimate one.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Do not join any Network Marketing MLM business that is set up as a referral business or pyramid scheme. With these mlm businesses the company's financial structure collapses because they are only relying on referrals to stay afloat. Real companies rely on the sale of products or services to make money, which keeps them around longer. Relying just on referrals ends up in failure, because at some point people are going to stop joining, especially if they find they can't make any money with the opportunity.

  2. Step 2

Do not rely on your mlm company to make you money. Any company that promises to "build your business for you" is usually a scam. Assuming a Network Marketing MLM home business is legitimate, it is possible to make good money. But you must look at it in a different way. Like any other home business, success with an MLM opportunity depends on your salesmanship. You must send out marketing materials both online and offline to help generate interest in your opportunity.

  3. Step 3
    upline support
    upline support

Find a Network Marketing MLM business where you can get upline support. You can usually research your upline's name on Google to see what kind of mlm business they run, and therefore what kind of support they offer. Even more importantly, you must be able to encourage those in your downline. This is what separates the wheat from the chaff in the MLM world, because expert MLM businessmen realize that the more successful their downline is, the less work they will have to do overall. That's why they provide extensive resources for their downline, whether it's in the form of marketing materials or even one-on-one coaching.

  4. Step 4
getting around the fear of prospecting
getting around the fear of prospecting

Do not quit a legitimate home business just because you are shy. So, what does a person do if they're more of the quiet type? How can they acquire success with an Network Marketing MLM home business? Well, depending on their Internet skills, they can use emails and online articles to help convey their message. In fact, with today's Internet, it's possible for a person to have thousands in their downline without ever meeting them in person.

Tips & Warnings
  • Not every Network Marketing MLM home business is a scam
  • If you're willing work hard and think outside of the box, you can be immensely successful with any MLM business.

on 9/29/2009 Very good article. I train people in MLM's and it is always so hard to see how many people are hurt by the scams that are out there.
It's lots of fun when you can help someone who feels like they are too shy to find that they CAN do this business without violating their personality. It's not their fault that they can't succeed in the business, they just need someone to teach them the skills they need. I love being able to help people with this business! Again, great article and thanks for writing it! 5*

on 9/13/2009 Hi, loved the article. I've been in Internet Network Marketing for a while and I think new people should read this. I think the new person always runs into some fantastic family member that says they are in a "scam". Perhaps this article will save some people by giving them the knowledge to know better. Well written too. Take care...Steve Warren
