- Margarita Salt
- Margarita Glass
- Lemons
- Limes
- Sugar
- White Tequila
- Chambord
-
Step 1
Squeeze the lemons and limes until you have two cups of lemon juice and two cups of lime juice. Mix the juices together with three cups of sugar and place in a small pot on the stove.
-
Step 2
Heat the juice and sugar over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and cool. This mixture is a fresh version of store-bought Sweet and Sour, and can be used in any recipe that calls for Sweet and Sour.
-
Step 3
Shake 1.5 ounces of white Tequila, such as Sauza White, with 4 ounces of Sweet and Sour over ice for each drink you will be making.
-
Step 4
Cut a lemon wedge and run it around the edge of the glass to make it sticky. Dip the glass in the salt. Fill the glass with ice.
-
Step 5
Pour the shaken mixture into the salted glass. Add a splash of Chambord on top for color and sweetness.
-
Step 6
Top with a lemon or lime wedge and a straw, and serve!
