Guacamole dip is really easy to make and can be used and added to so many different recipes. Avocado dip is not only a dip, but can be used as a spread or to add that extra zest to your taco's and burritos, or maybe you prefer to use it to spice up those nachos? All you have to do is follow the 5 simple steps in this recipe. (This is also wonderful in 7 layer dip see resources for link to 7 layer dip recipe)

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 3 Avocados
  • 1/2 Tsp Salt
  • 1/2 Tbsp Minced Cilantro
  • 1/3 Tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1 Small/Med. Tomato finely diced (optional)
  • 1/2 Onion. Finely diced
  1. Step 1
    onions and garlic

In a small bowl mix together your minced garlic and salt (just mush together). For this recipe you can substitute garlic salt or garlic powder for minced garlic but then you need to season to taste (approx. 3 to 4 dashes)

  2. Step 2
    avocado skin and pit

Cut around the center of the Avocado just around the pit, then remove the pit (seed) and skin (peel). Discard these as they won't be needed in your guacamole recipe :-)

    tortilla chips

You are now ready to serve up this simple snack dip- or you can refrigerate and serve this recipe chilled. Great as a snack just serve with tortilla chips.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you do not have minced garlic or fresh garlic to mince you can substitute it with some garlic powder or garlic salt but for best results use minced garlic for this recipe.
