Windows 7 is the next release of the Microsoft Windows Operating System. It is the follow-on to Microsoft Windows Vista. Windows 7 promises to be a faster and richer experience than Windows Vista and the Beta release currently is receiving rave reviews. Here are the steps to download Windows 7 Beta.

Instructions

1. Go to the Microsoft Windows 7 Beta Download website at: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/beta-download.aspx

2. Make sure you meet the minimum hardware requirements for Windows 7 Beta:
   1 GHz processor, 1 GB of memory, 16 GB free disk space, DirectX 9 graphics with 128 MB memory, DVD-R/W Drive, and Internet access.

3. Select the language of the image you want to download. Windows 7 Beta supports English, German, Japanese, Hindi, and Arabic.

4. Download the Windows 7 Beta image to your PC. It could take several hours to download.

5. Once the image is download, you can burn it to a DVD and install in on your PC.

Tips & Warnings

• Since Windows 7 is a Beta Release which is prerelease software, it is recommended that you do not install it on your computer that you need to use every day.
