Welcome to your brief introduction to the art of lulling your baby to sleep throughout the night. Utilizing comfort and the babies natural rhythms your baby can sleep the entire night without a peep.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Schedule the babies bath about 30 minutes prior to the babies bedtime. Prepare the baby for a bath by gathering everything you will need for and after the bath.

  2. Step 2

While the water is running add a tablespoon of baking soda (yes the kind you bake cookies with!) to it and proceed with your regular bathing routine.

  3. Step 3

The baby should stay in the water at least 10 minutes, though 15 is even better. When you are ready remove the baby from the tub.

  4. Step 4

After the baby is dressed and ready for bed feed the baby in your arms and either read or sing a lullaby until the baby is asleep. This can be done at the same time each night in order to create comfort and consistency.

Tips & Warnings
  • If the baby is a newborn you may give him/her a sponge bath with a teaspoon of baking soda added to the water
  • Baking soda is soothing and comforting to the little ones, it helps them feel safe
  • Babies crave consistency to help them feel safe and comfortable
  • Never leave the baby unattended in the bathtub
  • Always check the temperature of the water before lowering the baby into the tub
