  1. Step 1

If you want to create your own pre production Demo CD, the first thing you must do is write several songs. A Demo CD is sort of like a resume that you would like to submit to many different record labels in an effort to cease an opportunity to receive a possible record deal. However, in my opinion a pre production cd is a rough draft or a general idea of how you want your professional CD to sound. It will be used as a format to take to a professional recording studio to embark upon that high quality professional sound. Many recording studios require you to already have a your own original music in order for you to use their equipment. Keep in mind, recording studios are quite costly, so if you are a beginner, low on funds, utilizing specific software would be the most cost effective way to go.

  2. Step 2

Next, do your homework....Research different software products to meet your specific needs. The internet is loaded with information on music composition software. Determine what genre of music you are most interested in creating and find software that would enable you to create such music.

  3. Step 3

After you have written a plethora of diverse songs, you are now ready compose the music to accompany those songs. Many artists make the music first, before writing to the track and some do the complete opposite. I prefer composing the music first because it is much easier to write to the track as opposed to finding the right track to fit the lyrics.

  4. Step 4
    Hip Hop EJay Software

Once you find the appropriate software you are ready to begin creating an original composition. Most software is extremely user friendly, so if you do not play instruments, don't be discouraged. I don't play instruments and you could visit my website www.showcaseyourmusic.com/dachozn1 For my original tracks that I have composed utilizing a software program.

Tips & Warnings
  • Additional accessories may be required if you play instruments such as a midi cord etc. Otherwise it comes fully equipped with every thing you need to create a nice beat.
  • You are able to edit your track to fit to the lyrics by cutting and pasting your vocals.
  • Keep in mind that this software is for the sole purpose of creating a pre-production Demo CD. It is highly recommended that after you successfully compose your music from home that you take your project to a professional studio for Mastering your track.
