How to Babysit Differently

Finding good babysitting jobs these days is not as easy it used to be. People ask a lot from a babysitter, sometimes even babysitting classes. But if you are lucky to find a good position, I suggest you do a great job and bring a new meaning to babysitting.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Babysitting with a difference is in my opinion the key to being a good babysitter. Don't just go there and watch the child while he is playing or having lunch. Be a part of everything. Make the child feel at ease with you around.

  2. Step 2

Remember that you have to be a parent for the child when his parents are not there. Teach the child new things and explain the things that he does not understand. Teach him about sharing and nice behavior. Discuss any problems with the parents. Do not hide things from them. They need to feel you are the right person to look after the child.

  3. Step 3

Get involved in the child's education to the extent the parents allow you to. Don't get there were you are not allowed.
Build good habits into the child. You spend a lot of time with the child and you can notice what you need to adjust. Treat the child as if he were your own and the parents will notice the care you have for their child.
