There’s nothing worse than being in a strange place when you realize that you’re about out of gas and you don’t have a clue where the nearest gas station is. These instructions are how to find a gas station or other places of interest using a Mio Moov 500 GPS Navigation System.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Mio Moov 500 GPS Navigation System
  • Vehicle
  1. Step 1

Turn your GPS system on. The on switch is in the upper left hand side of the unit. When you turn it on you may have to agree to the safety agreement. Once you touch agree it will bring you to your exact location. Touch the domino icon in the lower left hand corner of the screen, this will bring you to the main menu.

  2. Step 2

Touch the POIs (place of interest) icon in the lower right hand corner of the screen.

  3. Step 3

It will bring you to the Destination Search page. Touch the Search Nearby button.

  4. Step 4

It will bring you to the Select POI screen. Here you can touch the top of the screen where it says Search by name to select a specific gas station or fast food joint from the list. Or you can use the green arrows on the right to find the category you want. Touch the word Gas Station.

  5. Step 5

It will bring up two gas stations. You can touch the green arrows on the right to get a bigger list and the number of miles away the gas station is.

  6. Step 6

Touch the name of the closest gas station and it will give you the address and show you where it is on the map. If you touch the arrow in the lower right hand corner of the screen it will tell you step by step directions to get there. Again, you can use this feature to find airports, banks, ATM machines, gas stations, hospitals, hotels, important tourist attractions, parking garages, police stations, restaurants, colleges, camping grounds and much more.
