Turn the water off to the sink and open the valves on the sink and let the water drain. Remove the drain line with the appropriate pliers at the base of the sink.
-
2
Remove the trap by loosening the nut underneath. Withdraw the trap with the upright pipe to the base of the sink. Loosen and remove the water supply lines to the sink. Remove the retaining clips under the sink.

3
Remove the sink by using the screwdriver and prying the sink up from under the sink. The object is to break the sink loose from the caulking holding it down without damaging the vanity. If it is difficult to break loose, then use a butter knife and carefully push the caulking in from the bottom of the sink.

4
Loosen the large nut on the bottom of the sink holding the faucet on. Remove the faucet. Carefully scrape the caulking off of the vanity. Try the new sink for size and mark the outline of the sink with chalk.

5
Lift the sink out check to see if the new sink has a solid ledge at least 3/8 inch wide around the bottom circumference. The object here is to see if the caulking should go on the sink first or on the vanity first. If there is no ledge on the sink the caulking must be very carefully applied to the vanity's outline of the sink. Apply a ribbon of caulking around the bottom of the sink or on the line made on the vanity.
-
6
Insert the sink into the hole in the vanity and be careful to line it up before the caulking touches the vanity. When in place, lay it down and push down firmly all around the outside of the sink. Install the retaining clips under the sink and tighten the screws.
-
7
Remove the excess caulk around the sink by wiping it with a wet finger. Once the excess is removed, keeping your finger wet, smooth out the caulk outline around the sink and clean up the excess on the vanity with a wet rag.

8
Put the plastic gasket on the bottom of the faucet and insert it into the holes in the sink. Install the washers and nuts on the bottom of the faucets inlet lines. Install the hot and cold inlet lines to the faucet.
-
9
Install the trap by placing it in between the top sink drain and the lower drain pipe and run the nuts on the pipe. Turn the water on and check for leaks.
