1
Look for T-shirts that you don't wear anymore but aren't torn or ripped. Choose the size of the T-shirts depending on how big the pillow cushion is going to be.
-
2
Take the shirt and turn it inside-out. Take the scissors and cut from left to right under the sleeves. Take the safety pins and pin the cut end. Pin it at least 1 inch away from the edge.

3
Take a needle and thread that matches the color of the shirt. Thread the needle, tying a knot at the end of the thread before you start sewing. Sew the edge of the shirt that was cut and pinned. Use the pins as a guide. Sew across as straight as you can, and knot the thread when you are done.
-
4
Remove the pins and turn the shirt outside in. Take the cotton and start stretching it out and filling the T-shirt. Keep stretching and filling until the desired firmness is reached. If using other filling, fill the shirt to the desired firmness.

5
Hold the opened end of the shirt. Pin it at least 1 inch from the edge. Take the needle and thread it again, making a knot at the end. Sew the opening shut, and make a knot at the end. Cut the rest of the thread off, and you're done.
