Instructions

    • 1

Make sure you have all three parts to your Magic Chef Breadmaker: the machine, the kneading blade and the bread bucket. Remove the bread bucket from the machine by pulling hard. Take the kneading paddle out of the bread bucket and set it aside.

    • 2

Set your bread bucket next to the sink and use a measuring cup to fill the bucket up with water. Count how many cups it takes. If you use 10 cups, then your machine will make a loaf of bread weighing 1 1/2 lbs. 12 cups of water will make a 2-lb. loaf. The standard size is 8 cups, which will make a 1-lb. loaf.

    • 3

Plug in the Magic Chef Breadmaker. Select a setting by pushing the setting button until it displays the type of bread you want. Select a crust setting. Use the delay button to set the bread to bake later in the day if you desire.

    • 4

Add the ingredients into the bread pan. The ingredients for making bread are water, eggs, milk, fat, honey, salt, flour, sugar and yeast. Once the ingredients are ready, replace the kneading paddle, pop the bread pan back inside the breadmaker, close the lid and push the start button.

    • 5

Remove the kneading blade from the bottom of the loaf after the bread is baked.

Tips & Warnings

  • Clean the Magic Chef Breadmaker by wiping it off with a damp rag. Wash the bread pan in the sink, but do not immerse it completely in water. The kneading paddle comes out easily for hand or machine washing.

  • Always use pot holders or oven mitts when removing the pans from the Magic Chef Breadmaker as they are very hot even after the cool-down cycle.
