Juvenile diabetes, also known as Type 1 diabetes, is an auto-immune disease in which the immune system essentially shuts down the ability of the pancreas to produce insulin. People with juvenile diabetes need to take insulin to stay alive. While there is presently no cure for juvenile diabetes, it is more possible than ever to successfully manage the disease and to limit the complications commonly associated with high blood-sugar levels.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Checking your blood-sugar levels frequently. Write down your blood sugar readings for 2 weeks prior to taking any supplements, so you can compare the results 2 weeks after you begin taking the supplements.

  2. Step 2

Order herbal supplements for diabetics that do more than just lower blood sugar levels. Heart disease, wound infections, neuropathy and blindness are big risks for diabetics, so choose an herbal supplement that supports the vascular system, helps with wound healing (cellular regeneration) and supports the immune system. For a list of the most popular supplements, follow the link in Resources.

  3. Step 3

Take the herbal supplements for at least 1 month and see if there is a noticeable improvement in your blood-sugar levels, wound healing and general energy level.

  4. Step 4

Compare your A1C test results from before taking the herbal supplements and after taking the supplements. If no improvement has occurred, consider trying a different brand of herbal supplement for diabetics.

Tips & Warnings
  • If you experience frequent episodes of hypoglycemia after taking the herbal supplements, please consult your doctor.
