Instructions

    • 1

Place a small dot in the exact center of the end of your casing. This will be the same area the firing pin would hit, and should be centered to allow the casing to hang straight from the chain.

    • 2

Drill a very small hole through the mark you've made. Take caution to drill vertically through the hole without damaging the sides of the casing.

    • 3

Twist a small eye screw through this hole, turning it until the eye loop is resting on the casing. Hold the casting gently with the pliers if necessary to keep it from turning.

    • 4

Place a bullet in the open end of the casing and push it as far into the casing as you can. Hold the casing firmly and tap the bullet into place with a soft hammer.

    • 5

Slip a length of box-link chain through the eye loop and check the necklace for symmetry. Make sure the eye hook is even and that the pendant rests vertically on the chain.

    • 6

Rub your bullet pendant with a small amount of brass polish and a soft polishing rag. This will remove any remaining fingerprints and let the natural glow of your newly made bullet necklace shine through.

Tips & Warnings

  • Use only new, undamaged casings and bullets. Any fragments or sharp edges can be uncomfortable and injure the wearer.

  • Never try to make necklaces from live rounds. Even the most experienced gunman can be seriously injured or killed when tampering with live ammunition.
