How to Apply Powder Bronzer to Your Face

You don't have to risk sun damage or the possibility of skin cancer to get a beautiful, sun-kissed glow. The trick with applying powder bronzer is to remember that "less is more." An overzealous application of bronzer can look unnatural and strange so it's important to apply bronzer correctly. After all, you don't want people to be staring at your face for all the wrong reasons.

Things You'll Need

• Powder bronzer (loose or pressed)
• Large powder brush
• Small buffer brush

Instructions

1. 

   Swirl the powder brush across the surface of the bronzer. For loose powder, dip your brush into the container.

2. Tap off excess powder.

3. Dot the powder onto your forehead, nose, chin and the apples of your cheeks.

4. Using the brush, blend the bronzer all over your face.

5. Dot an extra amount of bronzer powder onto the key areas of the nose, chin and forehead again. Gently blend the powder into these areas, which are naturally bronzed when out in the sun.

6. Swirl the larger powder brush into the bronzer, and quickly blend starting from your jawline down toward your neck. This will ensure that you don't inconsistencies in skin color between your face and neck.

Tips & Warnings

• Use a thick, buffer brush to dust off the excess powder from your face. Apply the bronzer in natural sunlight to avoid streaks and splotches. This is also how others will see you when you step outside, so it's the most natural-looking application you can achieve.

• Avoid the eye area as the bronzing powder can be irritating to the eyes.
