Maybe you are tired of being conned by the beauty industry or can't afford to pay the crazy high prices for the next miracle antiwrinkle treatment. Perhaps you can't fit another jar of cream in the bathroom cupboard or you seem to be allergic to just about everything you put on your skin. This article will give you some easy answers and help you go green, save money, and get back to basics for your skin.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  1. Step 1

Throw away all of the half-used jars, bottles, creams and cleansers and start fresh. Look at all that ROOM in your bathroom cupboard. You now have room for a couple of good books and some candles to pull out in a jiffy to relax with when you take your bath next time...ahhhhhh You already feel some of the stress disappear.

  2. Step 2

CLEANSING. Use a microfiber cloth (you can find them at any department store) and umm WATER. Yes water. That's all you need. If you need to remove your makeup, dab a tiny bit of olive oil on your cloth and wipe it away easily.Add a capful of olive oil to the bath for soft skin all over and to combat winter dryness. Warm water first then finish with cold to close pores and invigorate.

  3. Step 3

MOISTURIZE THE FACE. Pop a vitamin E capsule and put the liquid from it in one of my palms(it's the consistency of honey). Dab this all over your face. DAB. If you try to spread it on your face when you first begin it will not work well. You won't break out from pure Vitamin E on your face but if you use the Vit E oil found in stores you could. It contains soybean oil etc. Only use pure Vitamin E. For daytime I use one 400 IU capsule and a tablespoon of lemon juice in a small container and spread that over my face. This does two things: lemon exfoliates and breaks up the VitamiN E enough that it doesn't leave your skin feeling oily. For nighttime I use two 400IU capsules and dab the liquid all over my face. Then I place my hands over my face to cover the whole for a few minutes. This warms it enough to help it soak into your skin. Then I read a book for a while to let it work it's magic. You will wake up with a babysoft face in the morning.

  4. Step 4

MOISTURIZE THE BODY. If you use a capful of olive oil in a bath you shouldn't have to use any kind of lotion. If you shower then you can put it on your skin while still wet in the shower. Be careful not to get too much and slip by the oil getting on the floor! Before you go to bed you may put olive oil on feet or hands and cover with cotton socks or gloves. They will be "new" by morning. If you need to soften cuticles use a Vitamin E capsule or olive oil and let it soak in.

  5. Step 5

EXFOLIATE. Dry skin brushing has been used with success for years and is still the best way to exfoliate your body. Use a natural bristle brush and work in a sweeping motion toward the heart on each extremity then torso. Always move toward the heart. See the link for Dry Brushing Technique below. For face you may use lemon juice or milk. Spread the liquid all over your face and throat until it is saturated. Let dry. Take your clean microfiber cloth and cold water and gently use circular motion to cleans and exfoliate your face. Some people may be sensitive to the citric acid of the lemon and find it too potent in which case I would recommend using milk or alternating each time with milk.

Tips & Warnings
  • Use pure Vitamin E capsules only to reap the full benefits of this product.
  • The acid in milk exfoliates the skin gently. Use this for sensitive skin.
  • Use a few drops of essential oil in the bath along with olive oil. YUM
