When you are looking into starting a home based business, there are many things that you need to look at. One of the biggest things that you need to pay attention to when you want to start a home business is the startup costs. This is often the cost of joining the home based business as well as getting the starting inventory and paying for marketing that goes along with having your own business. For many people, this startup cost is the reason that they do not start a home business. If you want to start your own business from home, you are going to need to save money to cover all of the startup costs involved with the home based business that you have chosen.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Figure out exactly how much money you will have to save to start your home based business. Make sure that you include registration fees, samples, displays, inventory and advertising costs in your total so that you will have the correct number to shoot for when you save money to start your home business.

  2. Step 2

Find $25 dollars a week to put into a savings account to save money to start a home based business. This money could come from you not eating out one night a week or giving up your takeout coffee habit. This is an easy amount of money to save each week from your total spending habits. Many people spend $25 without even thinking that this small amount could be the step towards starting your own home based business.

  3. Step 3

Commit to always putting this $25 into your savings account when you get paid each week. Do not get an ATM card or any other type of easy access to this savings account. This will help you to save money to start a home business without the temptation to take money out of the account to spend on other things. Continue to build this savings account until you have reached the magic number that you came up with to be able to start your home based business.
