Step 1
Angel Template with HeartsPrint out the angel template shown in the picture or trace one of your own. To trace own of your own, see step two.
If you use a printed template, you might like to make it double sided or print two and glue them together so that the design is on both sides of the angel. -
Step 2
uncolored angel assembledoptional step if not using printed template
Skip this step if you print the template and go on to Step 3!
You can use the photos here as guides to help you draft the angel as described below:
a. draw a circle of about 7.5 inches diameter (17 cm).
b. draw a smaller circle of about 2 inches diameter(5 cm) in the middle, leaving a gap of about 1 in (3 cm) on one side.
c. draw an even smaller circle of about 1.25 inches diameter (3.5 cm) inside the second circle, leaving a .5 inch (1.5 cm) gap in the same alignment as the gap in the second circle.
d. draw a line from the point opposite the gap on the innermost circle to the outermost circle.
e. draw a perpendicular line (90 degrees from the previous line) about 1.5 inches (4 cm) long starting from the middle circle.
f. draw another line across from the perpendicular line in step e, also about 1.5 inches (4 cm) long, starting from the inside edge of the outermost circle. -
Step 3
Color your printed template. Be sure to color the wing section (the half of the circle divided by the big line) on both sides, as both sides will show on the completed angel.
-
Step 4
Cut out the angel, cutting along all the lines. Use extra care while cutting the inner circles.
-
Step 5
Gently bend the angel's head forward to make it stand up and the arms down. Slide the edge slots into one another and your angel is complete!
